» Our Approach to Web Design

The building a website is a comprehensive project that can run anywhere from one to several months depending on the scope of work and the timeliness of the exchange of data and meetings between our team and yours. Regardless, each project follows these four steps.

  1. Defining the business and design goals.
  2. Developing the site.
  3. Evaluating the site.
  4. Maintaing the site.
Defining the business and design goals.
The process of defining the business and design goals may take one or several meetings that include business, marketing and design staff from both your company and ours. Once data is compiled, we then define the project in a phase by phase roll out.

Developing the site.
The development of the site involves adhering to the steps defined in the roll out. Reviews of content and layout occur regularly, which includes face-to-face or phone meetings. This phase requires the greatest number of manhours. Hence, for budget purposes, it is imperative that the planed roll out be solid so as not to require additional manhours when unnecessary.

Evaluating the site.
Evaluation tools such as surveying customers or Web Analyics will provide you with valuable information about whether the user accomplished their goal and had a quality experience.

Maintaing the site.
Once a website is launched, your company is ready to do business online. However, many companies make the mistake of leaving their site unattended and it quickly becomes outdated. Regular updates are required for you to appear credible - and in business - to your customers.
